Controllers

The Reset buttons will reset all the associated controllers or Note Placements to their defaults. As on the Basic page, clicking the column labels will set all values to the value of Track 1.

The Pan of the track defaults to 64, i.e. centered.

To set other values, right-click to bring up the Set Controllers form.

Use this form to "draw" the Pan positions. Clicking the mouse within the field will set the value for that point in the track. You may also drag existing points to new values by clicking in the small boxes and dragging them to new locations (some practice may be required).

Changing the value in the Set Value field will set an unvarying Pan value.

Click the Set button to transfer the values to the Pan field for the track.

Click the Invert button to flip the graph top-to-bottom.

To set the Mod (Modulator) values for a track, right-click to bring up the form. (It defaults to 0, i.e. no Mod) Make changes as you would a Pan value.

To set which instrument bank the track will use, change the value in the Bank field for the track.

The currently loaded banks are listed in the Banks Loaded field. Double-clicking a bank in this field will remove it from the composition. The Load Banks button will load the specified banks into your soundcard, if it is compatible.

Note Placement determines the timing of the notes.

• Consecutive - Each new note is placed at the end of the previous note's duration.
• 4 MIDI Ticks - Each new note is placed 4 MIDI ticks after the start of the previous note. 4 MIDI ticks is an eighth note.
• 8 MIDI Ticks - Each new note is placed 8 MIDI ticks after the start of the previous note.
• 16 MIDI Ticks - Each new note is placed 16 MIDI ticks after the start of the previous note.

All settings except Consecutive ignore the duration of the notes, so there may be overlap.
